Banana Nut Bread 1/4 cup Crisco (or shortening) 3/4 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 cups Jiffy Baking Mix (or Bisquick) 1 cup mashed ripe banana (2 to 3 medium) 1/3 cup chopped nuts Cream shortening & sugar. Mix in egg & stir. Combine remaining ingredients & mix until well blended. Pour into a greased & floured loaf pan. Grease & flour 9" X 5" loaf pan before mixing batter. Bake at 350 for about 55 minutes. Check with a toothpick, if it sticks leave it in for 5 more minutes. Cool on cake rack for 10 minutes then turn out onto plate. Using dish towel turn it back over or the top will stick to plate.
