Cartieri’s Kitchen
A Collection of the Favorite Recipes of Eula Lee Cartieri         O nce   upon   a   time   there   lived   a   gal   from   West   Virginia   who   was   born   October   22nd,   1931   in   Newell ,   West   Virginia.      That’s   not   far   from where   the   famous   Fiestaware    pottery   comes   from.      Lou   (her   preferred   name)   was   raised   in   a   very   small   town   that   thrived   on   the   banks of   the   Ohio   River.      Being   that   it   was   such   a   small   town,   less   than   one   mile   square,   most   Newell   folks   spent   considerable   time   in   the kitchen.      It   was   there   that   Lou   first   began   to   build   a   collection   of   her   favorite   recipes.      One   day   she   met   an   Italian   man   by   the   name   of Joseph   Cartieri,   and   they   got   married.      As   one   would   expect,   his   Italian   family   also   had   some   great   Italian   recipes.      So   up   until   the   day she   died,   Lou   accumulated   a   lifetime   of   notes   and   instructions   on   how   to   create   some   of   the   finest   tast’in   meals,   snacks   and   sweet desserts anyone could ever ask for!       T his   website   was   created   to   memorialize   Lou’s   many   wonderful   favorite   recipes.      We   hope   you   enjoy   your   visit,   and   return   here   as often as you like, to see and experience the original notes and handwriting of Lou Cartieri.
